Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, the Rector of UMSU, distributed 300 Ramadan gifts to the community around the main campus. These gifts contained basic necessities and were given as a gesture of concern and togetherness during Ramadan 1444 H.

On Saturday (8/4), the parcels were personally delivered at the Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business UMSU located at Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3 in Medan.
UMSU has been distributing Ramadan gifts for 14 years now. The distribution will not only take place in the community surrounding the main campus, but also in the communities near the UMSU post-graduate and medical campuses.
“We have the principle that where the earth stands, that’s where the sky is upheld. This is what we are trying to build, hopefully, this gift will be useful for you and yours,” said Prof. Agussani.
He hopes that in the future, the community and local government can work together, to help and maintain the comfort of the campus environment. UMSU can become the trust of the Indonesian people.

Furthermore, East Medan Sub-District Head Noor Alfi Pane, AP said that UMSU’s concern was not only for Ramadan activities but other social activities. He hopes that UMSU will become a leading campus in Indonesia and that its alumni can contribute.
Yardin, a community representative, expressed that UMSU’s recent activity demonstrated their dedication to social concerns, and the community shared this sentiment.
Yardin expressed hope that UMSU will prove to be a blessing for the community and that it will receive sympathy and care, as well as being beneficial for the surrounding area.

The gifts were symbolically handed over to community representatives, East Medan District Head Noor Alfi Pane, PA, Head of Neighborhood 3 Firnando, Babinsa Nurbenny Arianto and Babinkamtibmas ZA Butar-Butar.
Also present were the UMSU Daily Board of Trustees (BPH), community representatives around the campus to the Glugur Darat II regional officials.
