Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara has received four stars from the international rating agency QS Stars World University Rankings. This achievement makes UMSU proud by submitting certificates to each faculty leader, postgraduate director, and daily supervisor at the celebration, which was held directly at the UMSU Auditorium – Jl. Kapten Muchtar Basri No. 3 Medan, Monday (14/03).
QS World University Ranking commemorates world-class universities that are pretty famous, one of the programs is QS Stars. Through this program, UMSU managed to get a score of 699, so it got four stars. If it scores 700, it will reach five stars.
This score was achieved because QS assessed that the eight components determining the ranking were successfully passed. For example, UMSU received five stars for the teaching system, facilities, academic development, usability, social responsibility, and openness. Meanwhile, internationalization gets two stars, and medicine gets four stars. These components are measured by global standards by world reviewers.
