A total of 11 students from the Islamic Religious Education and Early Childhood Islamic Education (PIAUD) Study Programs of the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) at the University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) are participating in the International Community Service Program (KKN) and the Practical Industrial Teaching Certification Training in Malaysia.
This International KKN Program is also accompanied by a Practical International Teaching Certification Training held at Universiti Geomatica Malaysia for a duration of three months, starting from May 21, 2025, to August 18, 2025.
Dr. Zailani, MA, Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Islamic Studies UMSU, stated that the International KKN Program conducted by FAI UMSU in several countries continues to be carried out. It is expected that this program will provide new insights and networking opportunities for FAI UMSU students. “For this round of the International KKN, it is being conducted at Tadika Alfikh Orchard in Malaysia,” he explained.
Furthermore, the training materials for the international teaching certification are delivered directly by lecturers from the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences (FAESS) at Universiti Geomatica Malaysia. The topics covered include Industrial Training, Introduction to Child Growth and Development, Childhood Through Observation, and Exceptional Child Development.
The Faculty of Islamic Studies at UMSU is one of the faculties at UMSU that has participated in international accreditation through the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
FIBAA international accreditation is a recognition of quality awarded by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), a Germany-based international accreditation body, to academic programs and higher education institutions, particularly in the fields of business, economics, management, law, and social sciences.
This accreditation aims to ensure quality and transparency in higher education by applying strict and internationally recognized standards. It is hoped that UMSU will soon achieve full international accreditation.
