Fiki Naki shared her experience in learning a foreign language. She told us how she started learning languages on a whim and then became accustomed to learning various languages.
“Learning a language is like learning arithmetic. It’s not easy, but it’s not difficult either. Sometimes we get bored, and then we have to look for inspiration again. I usually watch videos of people who can speak many languages,” said Fiki.
According to her, language learning should be fun and done with many preferred methods. Then, there is no need to compare your own process with others. Find the path and enjoy the process.
“I’ve been learning to use AI for a year now, and it has had a big impact. Before that it was from YouTube,” said Fiki.
She emphasized that learning a foreign language has a huge impact on the quality of relationships to make it easier to communicate in a career, “I used to be not confident, but since playing Ome Tv I have been trained and finally confident,” explained Fiki.
During the sharing season, Fiki invited UMSU students who had language skills; three students could speak Turkish, French, and Russian. Not only that, Fiki had a beatbox battle with the vocalist of the UMSU band.
Previously, the Rector represented by Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, MSi, appreciated the event, which was expected to motivate and inspire students to learn various foreign languages.
“In the past, the Executive of MQA Malaysia, Prof. Shatar, once said that mastering languages is essential for the future. We must not forget and be proud of our mother tongue, but English is also important. So both are very important to master,” said Dr. Rudianto.
He appreciated the UMSU Language Center and Language Volunteers who continued to present extraordinary activities to hone foreign language skills at UMSU.
“Fiki Naki is a young person who is very successful in mastering languages, so hopefully, his presence can be our inspiration. Take the positive lessons that will be given later, “said WR III.
