The Faculty of Medicine (FK) UMSU held a graduation and appointment of 69 young doctors of the 29th Batch on Saturday (23/3) at the UMSU Faculty of Medicine Hall, Jalan Gedung Arca No.53, Medan.
The graduation was led by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by WR 2 Prof. Dr. Akrim, MAP, accompanied by FK Dean Dr. Siti Masliana Sp.THT-KL (K) and the Vice Deans.
Present were leaders of network hospitals, the Director of RSU Haji Medan, Dr. Rehulina Ginting, Deputy Director of Bhayangkara Medan Hospital, Director of Amri Tambunan Hospital, dr. Hanip Fahri SPkj.
After the graduation and promise of young doctors, as many as 69 graduates of medical education will carry out a doctor’s professional program or koas. So, WR 2 UMSU Prof. Akrim advised the graduates to implement koas to maintain the good name of the University, Muhammadiyah, UMSU, and the Faculty of Medicine.
“So far there are dynamics but still within reasonable limits, in general the implementation of koas at the network hospital is going well so keep the good name of the alamamater,” said Prof. Akrim.
He appreciated and congratulated students for their hard work until they graduated as young doctors and parents who had entrusted their children to study at UMSU.
Faculty of Medicine graduates have been successful in various professional sectors, such as ASN, Police, TNI, and even, most recently, as members of the Legislature. In addition, FK students have international achievements, such as graduating at the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) event.
Then, Dr. Hanip, Director of Amri Tambunan Hospital, said that at least UMSU Medical graduates have four things: a scientific foundation, literacy/literature, epidemics, and ethics/ethics.
“I hope these four things will become a benchmark during the doctor’s professional education,” said Dr. Hanip.
Finally, the Dean of FK UMSU, Dr. Siti Masliana, reminded us that while carrying out koas, one should not fight with other alma maters but can work well together. “Try to be a good team in the teaching hospital,” said the Dean of FK UMSU.
