UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, handed over 265 Ramadan packages to the community around four campuses: the Main Campus, Faculty of Medicine, Postgraduate Program, and integrated campus in Sampali. This activity demonstrates UMSU’s commitment to the community and its success in maintaining superior accreditation, which is valid for 2024-2029.
“Alhamdulillah, UMSU has succeeded in maintaining superior accreditation until 2029,” said UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, when handing over Ramadan 1445 H gifts to the community around the main campus on Jalan Kapten Mukhtar Basri, Medan, Monday (25/3).
He explained that UMSU’s superior accreditation was the result of a severe effort and the spirit of togetherness of the academic community and society. “As Rector, I would like to thank all the people in the UMSU campus environment who have supported and helped maintain a conducive atmosphere,” he said.
Furthermore, the Rector explained that UMSU will continue to strive to improve and innovate to continue to exist according to the times. Community support and assistance are expected in that framework, including students who live together in residents’ boarding houses.
On this occasion, Prof. Agussani also said, based on the mandate given by PP Muhammadiyah as the organizer of the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027, UMSU has started the process of building an integrated campus on Sampali land as the location of the Congress.
“Alhamdulillah, without the cooperation established with the community, UMSU would not be what it is today. In implementing the Congress, we expect the role and support of the government and the community around the campus to succeed the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027,” hoped the Rector of UMSU.
Welcoming this, the Secretary of the East Medan Sub-District Head, Syamsul Nasutio, S.SPT., MAP as a representative of the Medan City Government, is ready to support, “We, the representatives of the Medan City Government, are ready to support the 2027 Congress,” said the Secretary. He also greatly appreciated UMSU’s commitment to providing its citizens with social assistance.
Finally, a representative from the community, Yardin Thomas, was very impressed with the achievements made by UMSU to date. According to him, this achievement is a challenging thing.
“I have felt 3 colors of leadership at UMSU. I think under the leadership of Rector Agussani, it is very top managerial because to manage a campus that is proliferating is beyond expectations, “said Yardin. He also said that social care for the community is one of the social achievements of UMSU.
