The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (FK UMSU), held an open house and bazaar, as well as the signing of the MoA with STIKES Malahayati and Tjut Nyak Dhien University. The event was attended by 1,500 high school / vocational students and officials from throughout North Sumatra.
The activity ‘What It Takes To Be A Good Doctor’ was officially opened by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by WR I Prof. Dr. Arifin Gultom, M.Hum, on Saturday (2/3) in the courtyard of FK UMSU Building A Jl. Gedung Arca No.53, Medan.
Present at this activity was the Deputy Mayor of Medan as well as the parents of FK UMSU students, H. Aulia Rachman, S.E., Head of the Cooperation Section of Rokan Hilir Regency Riau, H. Iryan Cahyadi, SE.ak, MBA, PhD, Head of Health Resources of the Medan City Health Office, Rukun Ramadani Br Karo, S.KM., M.KM, Director of Amri Tambunan Hospital (dr. Hanip Fahri, MM, M.Ked (K.J.), Sp, partners, alumni, Principals, accompanying teachers, and the academic community of FK UMSU.
Dean of FK UMSU, dr. Siti Masliana, Sp. In her report, ENT, Subsp Rinology (K) conveyed the purpose of this activity to introduce the Faculty of Medicine UMSU to students.
“Even though the Faculty of Medicine UMSU may already be known everywhere, we want to introduce what FK UMSU is and how through this event,” said Dr. Siti Masliana.
Then, WR I Prof. Arifin, when opening this activity, said that of the 44 study programs at UMSU, the Faculty of Medicine is one of the leaders. It has been accredited as Excellent, both undergraduate and professional, and is 16 years old.
“I think with the facilities, facilities, infrastructure, and achievements of FK UMSU, it can be your consideration in choosing a university, so there are no more doubts in choosing UMSU because FK UMSU has become an idol for students in the archipelago,” said WR I.
This was supported by the statement of the Deputy Mayor of Medan as well as the parents of students, H. Aulia Rachman, who chose UMSU as a place of education for his son.
“We are looking for UMSU; this is the best private university in North Sumatra, so if there is UMSU, why should others?” Said the Deputy Mayor.
The series of FK UMSU open house and bazaar events included two talk show sessions with presenting partners and alumni, the appearance of creativity and talent, and rescue actions from the FK UMSU Medical Assistance Team.
