The University Library of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) held the peak of the Intelect Fest event by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 26 university libraries and 16 school libraries on Campus Jalan Muktar Basri No 3 Medan, Thursday (29/2).
The event looked lively with the presence of famous content creators Wanda Wandow and Comics. Joel Purba, who ‘roasted’ students while answering questions
UMSU Rector, represented by Vice RectorI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, officially opened the event.
The peak of the Intelect Fest event began with activities, essay training, entrepreneurship seminars, 3D financial literacy seminars, quiz competitions, and Intelect Fest national seminars.
Head of UMSU Library, Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Pd said the MoU was held as a series to develop a strong library network. Through the MoU, the spirit of moving forward together is built. Moreover, UMSU Library is committed to becoming an “inspiring library”.
Apart from university libraries. Cooperation is built with public and private school libraries from elementary to secondary levels. With this aim, UMSU can share knowledge and technology.
Vice RectorI, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, supports and shows appreciation. He hopes this collaboration can create opportunities for collection utilization and library human resource development.
The hilarious and witty speakers, Wanda Wandow and Joel Purba, further said there are other alternatives to progress. Wanda Wandow emphasized that the younger generation must be able to build their branding through creative content. For example, they explore content about the region, daily activities, and others. Through existing platforms, the content becomes viral and can make money.
When meeting with the two speakers, UMSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP continued to express his appreciation and thanks for being present and providing insight to UMSU students.
