UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by WR I Prof. Dr. Arifin Gultom, M.Hum, and Dean of FKIP UMSU Dra. Syamsuyurnita, M.Pd released 392 students to conduct the Introduction to School Field (PLP) Jati Diri Educator. The release was held on Friday (2/2) at the UMSU Auditorium, Muchtar Basri Street No.3 Medan.
Based on reports from the Dean of FKIP UMSU, Dra. Syamsuyurnita, M.Pd, a total of 392 students, including 9 Mathematics Study Program students, 43 Indonesian Language students, 57 English students, 16 PPK students, 15 Accounting students, 189 PGSD students, and 63 Counseling Guidance students.
In addition, there are 15 PLP 2 Integrated KKN-Dik Students from UMS and 192 students following MBKM, “Mr. WR, we report that this year, the PLP participants are spread across 35 schools, namely 18 in Elementary Schools and 17 in SMA / SMK and accompanied by 35 accompanying lecturers,” said the Dean of FKIP UMSU.
WR I Prof. Dr. Arifin Gultom, M.Hum, advised that students can do their best and apply discipline while carrying out PLP.
“This PLP identity is an academic curricular activity whose task is to observe and add experience to teaching from seeing preparation to how the teacher delivers learning, so this is necessary for teachers so as not to stutter,” said WR I.
According to him, PLP activities are critical for students to pay attention to because teachers must prepare themselves. He also mentioned the proverb of Communication Science, namely, people who take the podium without preparation and then go down without respect, so it is hoped that students can be disciplined and maintain the good name of UMSU when doing PLP.
The release of PLP participants was marked by embedding badges and group photos as a closing. Present at the release of the Deputy Dean of FKIP UMSU, 35 Field Supervisors (DPL) and PLP students.
