Infinite Learning Batam is a company that operates in the field of information technology and multimedia. It is ready to facilitate students from the University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) to participate in internships and independent studies through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program.

This was revealed during a socialization event held by UMSU in collaboration with Infinite Learning, which is also a partner company of MBKM under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The event occurred on Saturday, June 24th, at the UMSU Auditorium, at Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.
The socialization event focused on the internship and independent study program, batch V, and was attended by hundreds of students from all faculties. In the previous MBKM batch 3, several UMSU students successfully completed their internship programs at the company. With the opening of the registration for MBKM batch V, Infinite Learning has prioritized UMSU students to become participants in their MBKM program.
Recognizing the importance of the Internship and Independent Study program for students, Murviana Koto, M.Si, the Head of the MBKM Unit, invited partners to provide motivation and direct explanations. According to her, MBKM, particularly the Internship and Independent Study program, is crucial for student’s career preparation.
“MSIB serves as a place for career exploration. Therefore, MSIB will serve as a stepping stone in the working world, or vice versa. Choose a program that aligns with your career plans,” said Murviana.

She also reminded students that the registration for Internship batch V will close on June 30th, 2023. Students must promptly process essential documents such as recommendation letters from their faculties or the SPJTM from the University.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Arifin Gultom, M.Hum, the Vice Rector 1 of UMSU, who inaugurated the event, encouraged students to participate in positive activities like MBKM. He stated that this program would equip students to enter the workforce.
“By participating in MSIB, we have great opportunities in the job market, especially after completing our internship successfully. Instead of us searching for companies to apply for jobs, it will be the companies that seek us,” Prof. Arifin emphasized.
The event continued with a discussion session featuring the two Professional Mentors from Infinite Learning, Shania Sabrina and Jesica Aulia, who introduced their company. Shania mentioned that professional mentors would teach the selected students in the programming of independent study or internship programs. They opened the opportunity for all UMSU students, regardless of their major.

“In this batch, we hope to see many UMSU students graduate from Infinite Learning. They will be taught various knowledge in programming, multimedia, and IT. From creating websites to developing applications,” said Jesica.
Lastly, Muhammad Rofi and Adelia, UMSU students who successfully completed the MBKM Batch 3 program, shared their exciting experiences and testimonials during their time at Infinite Learning Batam.
