The Regent of Langkat, Syah Afandin, donated Rp100 million to support the construction of the KH Ahmad Dahlan Mosque located at the Integrated Campus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) in Saintis Village, Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency.
The donation was officially received by Chairman of the UMSU Board of Trustees Agussani together with Vice Rector I Muhammad Arifin and Vice Rector III Rudianto at the UMSU campus on Jalan Muchtar Basri, Medan, on Wednesday (April 29).
According to Syah Afandin, the contribution was made in his personal capacity as part of the Muhammadiyah family and community. The donation also represents his support for the development of the KH Ahmad Dahlan Mosque at the UMSU Integrated Campus.
The KH Ahmad Dahlan Mosque is one of the supporting facilities being prepared for the Muhammadiyah Congress, which will be held at the UMSU Integrated Campus in Saintis Village. On the approximately 25-hectare site, UMSU is currently constructing a 7,000-seat auditorium and the Walidah Sports Hall with a capacity of 2,500 people.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the UMSU Board of Trustees Agussani stated that the donation would significantly support the development of campus infrastructure, particularly the mosque at the integrated campus. He also noted that UMSU has received support and contributions from various parties for the mosque construction project.

He expressed his appreciation for the assistance provided and hoped that the construction process would proceed smoothly and be completed according to plan.
