The Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Incubator (PUSKIIBI) UMSU conducted a series of environmental program activities from LazisMu in Bandar Labuhan Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province.
The activity in the form of planting Moringa is a moringa land planting movement program (Gelamor), an environmental program from LazisMu by planting 10,000 Moringa trees on villagers’ lands.
The head of the “Gelamor” program, Ir. Gustina Siregar said the Moringa planting activity in Bandar Labuhan Village is one of the best villages at the provincial level that utilizes Moringa leaves in various processed products worth selling.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the UMSU Puskiibi Assoc. Prof. Hj. Dewi Andriany, SE. MM said this activity was well organized with the cooperation of the “Gelamor” program team, PUSKIIBI, the village principal, the Bandar Labuhan village secretary, cadres, and the local community. Before planting Moringa trees, residents were taught how to care for and harvest marketable Moringa tree products, assisted by PT. Keloria Moringa Jaya.
Besides being attended by local residents, the Moringa tree seed planting activity was also attended by the Secretary of the Tanjung Morawa Sub-district.
