A total of 256 students from SMA Negeri 3 Riau, accompanied by the Principal and teachers, made a study tour (visit) to the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra on Saturday (20/1) morning at the UMSU Auditorium on Jalan Muchtar Basri No.3 Medan.
The visit was filled with student performances, including martial arts attractions, regional dances, acoustic band performances, and storytelling. The show, which also featured entertainment from the UMSU Band and UKM Seni Tari dan Budaya, was lively.
Principal of SMA N 3 Riau, Hj. Ermita, S.Pd., M.M. is very grateful for the welcome, which reflects that UMSU is a superior campus.
“All of you have heard and seen firsthand how UMSU is; of course, it has been illustrated that UMSU is far superior, which can be your choice. So if there is already UMSU, why else would you choose another university?” said the Principal of SMA N 3 Riau.
Previously, Ermita was the Principal of SMA N 12 Riau and brought her students to UMSU. She said many of her students entered UMSU and became outstanding alums, so Ermita advised SMA N 3 Riau students,
“You are smart in choosing the right college to continue your education,” said Hj. Ermita.
In addition, she also said that the 12th-grade students present were very accomplished in academics, arts, and sports to become healthy schools.
Previously, UMSU Rector Prof. Agussani, in his remarks, provided information and motivation to SMA N 3 Riau students.
“I urge you to be careful when choosing a college because many universities are not responsible,” said the Rector of UMSU.
According to him, students must pay attention to accreditation, lest the diploma must be recognized after graduation. In this regard, it is known that UMSU is a superior campus in Sumatra that MQA Malaysia has recognized, received four stars from QS Star Ranking, and ranked in the top 21 universities in ASEAN by AppliedHe.
