Master Teacher Park Jang Hwan from South Korea shared his knowledge at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara at the Teaching Workshop with South Korean Master Teachers, which had the theme “Adapting Teaching With Korean Insight for Young Education” and was held at the UMSU Library, Jalan Kapten Muktar Basri Medan, on Thursday (25/1).
Park Jang Hwan is a senior junior high school teacher in South Korea, sharing his experiences and good teaching tips and tricks he learned as a teacher. In terms of teaching, teachers must prepare themselves well and invite children to learn and have fun with word hunting, dice acting, quiz market, and quiz with picture games.
“Participants who attended this workshop looked excited, active, and enthusiastic. These games can be applied in the classroom, which will make the classroom environment interesting and students more active,” she said.
He explained that character quality, curiosity, initiative, and fighting spirit are the keys to success in achieving goals. The Korean nation is strong: “We can learn from our brothers there. This is the key to everyone’s success,” said Park Jang Hwan.
In addition, he added that the UMSU library is very comfortable and relaxed because it can create activities that can increase student literacy. The hope is that the UMSU library will continue to raise student literacy and make a library that continues to inspire.
Park Jang Hwan presented the material in Korean and was accompanied by Nurul Hafidzha Lubis as an interpreter or Korean translator.
The Head of UMSU Library officially opened this workshop activity, Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.P.d., and the supervisor of UMSU Library Volunteers. This activity lasted for two hours. This activity results from the collaboration between UMSU Library Volunteers and Medan Generasi Impian.
