UMSU received a study tour visit from 70 students and nine accompanying teachers from SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. Their presence was welcomed directly by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by WR III for Student Affairs Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, Friday (26/1) at the UMSU Agriculture Hall on Jalan Muchtar Basri No.3 Medan.
Vice Principal of Student Affairs of SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru, Zulfan, S.Ag was grateful and proud to have been welcomed. He said that this visit aimed to seek information and travel to higher education.
“We always direct children to study at UMSU; thank God many of our children have also studied at UMSU,” said the Deputy Head.
He also said that UMSU is the right place to study in North Sumatra.
“So our children, if there is a campus with competence like UMSU, why should it be the other one? UMSU is extraordinary; it has won national and international levels, and its development is very rapid. I am touched, and I love UMSU,” continued Zulfan.
Previously, WR III introduced UMSU as the 6th Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah College (PTMA), which was accredited as superior.
“In Sumatra, UMSU is the only PTS-accredited superior,” said Rudianto.
In addition, he also provided information related to UMSU’s achievements that students need to know: UMSU is ranked 21st out of 7000 universities in ASEAN and the 5th best out of 4000 private universities in Indonesia.
In academic and non-academic fields such as arts, culture, talent interests, and entrepreneurship, UMSU supports its students and has achievements in these fields. One of the proofs is that UMSU has succeeded in winning the pilmapres for seven consecutive years, winning medals at the PIMNAS and PPK Ormawa events and other proud championships.
“The steps taken by the Principal and teachers to accompany SMA 1 Muhammadiyah students are right. Go straight to the heart of the information to find information related to UMSU, “said WR III UMSU.
He also suggested that students who want to study at UMSU join immediately because, every year,, out of the 10,000 to 15,000 who register, UMSU only accepts 5,000 students.
The dean or Deputy Dean of the Faculty at UMSU, students, and accompanying teachers of SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru were present at this visit.
