A total of 3000 high school / vocational school students enthusiastically visited the stand of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) at the North Sumatra higher education exhibition held on the 1st floor of the Ringroad Citywalks Mall Medan, Tuesday-Thursday (20-22/2).
The North Sumatra Provincial Education Office and LLDIKTI Region 1 North Sumatra organized the exhibition. It was opened directly by the Head of LLDIKTI North Sumatra, represented by the Head of General Affairs, Dra. Faizah bt. Johan Alam Shah.
The goal is to motivate and provide insight to high school / vocational students to continue their education in college. There are 20 universities and as many as 1000 high school / vocational students throughout North Sumatra per day.
The UMSU stand, which provides sophisticated equipment such as the Falak Science Observatory telescope and creative student products under the auspices of PUSKIIBI UMSU, managed to attract the attention of being visited directly by the Head of the General Section of LLDikti Dra. Faizah, CEO of PT. Antara Dua Niaga is the organizer, as are Hendra Ilyas, and more than 1000 high school / vocational students per day.
Visitors who come to the stand get information about studying at UMSU and play national insight games to get attractive prizes that have been provided. Most students who visited admitted they were interested in entering and getting to know UMSU because of its superior accreditation.
“UMSU is already a superior campus; yes, sis, the facilities are complete, so I’m just interested in finding information. Then there are kahoot games at this stand, so it’s fun to get prizes too,” said Alda, one of the students of SMK N 1 Medan.
Not only visiting the stand, the students were also enthusiastic about listening to talk shows from representatives of UPT Penmaru UMSU, Willy Yusnandar, S.E., M.M. about higher education, and UMSU as the only accredited campus in Sumatra.
