UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP welcomed a courtesy visit from the Trans Media delegation led by Director Ir. Latif Harnoko, MBA to strengthen collaboration. The meeting took place on Thursday (August 14) at the UMSU VIP Room, Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan.
On this occasion, Trans Media Director Ir. Latif announced the upcoming Financial Festival organized by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS RI), scheduled for Wednesday–Thursday, August 20–21, 2025. The festival will feature an expo, competitions, financial literacy programs, and sessions with influencers as well as renowned public figures from Jakarta.
“Thank you for the warm welcome, Mr. Rector. We hope UMSU students and the academic community will attend and help make this event a success. Financial literacy, in particular, is very important,” he stated.
He also mentioned a planned interview program with the UMSU Rector and expressed openness to offering internship opportunities for UMSU students at Trans Media, CNBC Indonesia, and Detik.com.
Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani welcomed the collaboration and expressed full support for the event. “This is indeed an honor and recognition for our university. Our team will coordinate to participate,” he said.
He also shared updates on the development of UMSU’s fourth campus and preparations for hosting the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027.
“Hopefully, we can continue to strengthen this partnership. We also ask for your support and prayers as we work on building UMSU’s fourth campus, which will serve as the venue for the 49th Muhammadiyah Congress in 2027,” he added.
The meeting was also attended by the Producer of CNBC Indonesia TV, Head of Detik.com Bureau Baringin Lumban Gaol, three reporters, and UMSU’s Bureau Chief.
