The Postgraduate Division of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) distributed 125 Ramadan gifts 1445 Hijriyah to the community and surrounding officials, Tuesday (26/3) at UMSU Postgraduate Jl. Denai No.217, Medan.
The gifts were handed over by UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by the Chairman of the Daily Supervisory Board (BPH) Dr. H. Bahril Datuk, M.M., and Postgraduate Director Prof. Dr. Triono Eddy S.H. M.Hum.
Chairman of BPH, Dr. Bahril, said that UMSU, as an educational institution managed by Muhammadiyah, is not intended only for Muhammadiyah but belongs to the community. Therefore, the delivery of this gift is a commitment as well as establishing friendship.
“This meeting is mainly for friendship because that brings us grace. We hope you will increase your sense of ownership with UMSU,” said the Chairman of BPH.
He also hopes that UMSU postgraduate programs, which have S2 and S3 programs, will be more advanced and trusted by the community in the future.
On this occasion, Medan Denai Sub-District Head Ananda Sulung Parlaungan, S.P., represented the community and thanked UMSU for helping the surrounding community.
“God willing, we pray that the Muhammadiyah and UMSU organizations will grow and continue to be trusted by the community. In the future, we are ready to support whatever UMSU needs. Hopefully, UMSU will always provide positive energy,” said Ananda.
According to him, this activity is a form of collaboration between the government and the world of education for the community.
Present at this submission, BPH UMSU Drs. Mutholib, M.M, Prof. Dr. Ida Hanifah, S.H., M.H, Head and Secretary of the Study Program, Head of Tegal Sari Mandala 1 and 2 Neighborhoods and the community around the campus.
