The Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, received Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) support from BRI in the form of 31 units of high-performance computer equipment with a total value of IDR 500 million. The handover took place at the VIP Room of the UMSU Campus, Jalan Muchtar Basri No. 3, Medan, on Monday (24/11).
The support was directly provided by the Head of Area BRI Region I Medan, Nur Hendrawan, to the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, and was allocated to the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FIKTI) UMSU. The equipment will be utilized as a multimedia laboratory to support a modern learning process.
Nur Hendrawan expressed his great appreciation to UMSU for the strong partnership that has been well established over time.
“We would like to extend our highest appreciation to UMSU. This is our commitment—through this program we are providing 31 desktop units. We are confident that the quality of these devices is excellent and supported by a strong ecosystem,” he stated.
He emphasized that support for the education sector is part of BRI’s responsibility in contributing to the development of future generations.
“This is a tangible form of our commitment. Hopefully, this cooperation will continue in the long term and bring benefits to UMSU and Indonesia,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Agussani, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the continued trust placed in UMSU by BRI.
“We pray that this trust will continue to be maintained within the community. This partnership represents mutual sharing and collaboration,” he explained.
Prof. Agussani further stressed that the donated equipment would not merely serve as displays, but would be optimally utilized.
“We will make the best possible use of these devices—not just as showcases, but as tools to motivate FIKTI students to grow and develop further,” he added.
With the addition of the 31 high-performance computer units, FIKTI UMSU hopes to enhance the quality of learning, particularly in the fields of multimedia, animation, design, and programming, which require high-performance equipment.
