UMSU Released 23 Bangka Belitung MAS KKN Students
Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara released 23 students participating in the Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah (MAS) Bangka Belitung Community Service Program in 2023.
The release ceremony was carried out by the UMSU Rector represented by Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, S.H, M.Hum in the Rector’s meeting room, Jalan Kapten Mukhtar Basri, Medan, Thursday (27/7).
The event was marked by the Vice Rector handing over the participants’ badges to two student representatives, Dwi Herduansyah (Faculty of Engineering) and Riska Maria Ulfa (Faculty of Law)—furthermore, a group photo with university leaders, faculties, and students participating in the MAS KKN.
Prof. Arifin, in his speech, said that the theme of this year’s MAS KKN was “Strengthening Technology-Based Eduecotoutrism to Support Environmental Conservation in Bumi Serumpun Sebalai.” For this reason, KKN participants are expected to gain knowledge and experience by the theme of the activity.
“The KKN that is followed should be utilized to add useful insights and experiences,” he said.
Prof. Arifin reminded the participants to maintain their behavior and be able to adjust to the community at the KKN location by complying with the norms and cultural customs of the residents.
“Keep the good name of the alma mater with behavior and manners,” he said.
The participants were also reminded to maintain health and discipline during the KKN.Do not let unwanted things happen because you do not maintain discipline.
Meanwhile, the KKN Implementation Unit Head, Dr. Roby Fanreza, M.Pdi, said the MAS KKN was held from July 29 to September 14, 2023. KKN MAS was attended by student representatives from Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah Universities throughout Indonesia.
