UMSU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Arifin Gultom, announced the departure of 4 qualifying teams to compete in the 2023 Abdidaya Ormawa event. The release ceremony occurred on Tuesday (5/12) at the UMSU Auditorium, Muchtar Basri Street No.3, Medan.
Accompanying the release were Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, Head of Student Affairs Bureau, Dr. Radiman, S.E, M.Si, and Secretary of SRCC UMSU, Linzy Pratami Putri, SE, M.M.
Abdidaya Ormawa marks the culmination of the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Dit. Belmawa), Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
Prof. Arifin congratulated the 4 UMSU teams heading to the University of Jember (UNEJ) from Wednesday to Wednesday, December 6-12, 2023.
“Alhamdulillah, we have managed to send representatives of 4 teams across Indonesia. We hope for the best results,” expressed Prof. Arifin.
As per Linzy Pratami Putri, SE, M.M, the Secretary of SRCC UMSU, initially, 16 UMSU teams received funding in PPK Ormawa 2023. Following the selection process, 4 teams were granted participation in Abdidaya Ormawa, namely IMM FK, HMJ Management, HMJ Accounting Education, and HMJ Social Welfare.
“We thank the University Leaders and Lecturers for their invaluable support during the PPK Ormawa process. We seek prayers and support for achieving outstanding results this year,” added Linzy.
UMSU has continuously upheld its commitment to participate in this event, previously known as the Holistic Program for Village Development and Empowerment (PHP2D). It has now transitioned to PPK Ormawa. Recognizing this commitment, the UMSU team secured two gold medals in poster and presentation categories at the Abdidaya Ormawa event 2022.
Expressing gratitude for UMSU’s support in their community service initiatives, Liza, the HMJ Social Welfare Representative, highlighted the immense learning experiences gained, especially in their respective majors. She conveyed excitement and confidence in the team’s abilities, anticipating success in the upcoming event.
