Four students of the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra won achievements at the 2023 Student National MTQ event at Yogyakarta State University. They are Mursyid Affandi won 1st place, Khoirul Fahmi won 2nd place and Fitri Wahyuni 3rd place winner in the 10 juz Hifzil Quran branch and Halimatun Hadawiyah won 2nd place in the Tartil Quran branch. The committee announced the results of the jury’s assessment at the 2023 Student MTQN closing ceremony directly via the Youtube channel, Sunday (2/4).
Chancellor of the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra Prof. Dr. Agussani.MAP appreciated the achievements of UMSU students at the Student MTQN event that UNY Yogyakarta held. Moreover, according to him, all public and private universities are currently severely pursuing achievements in reciting the Quran. But he was proud because UMSU students could still compete and achieve accomplishments.
“Serious coaching is the key to the success of our students. Hopefully, it can be maintained and improved in the future. he said.
The Student National MTQ 2023 activity was carried out by Yogyakarta State University and was attended by 1357 students from 111 public and private tertiary institutions from 22 provinces throughout Indonesia. Several participating universities apart from UMSU include Gajah Mada University, IPB, UNPAD, USU, UNIMED, UMY, UAD, and others.
