Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara succeeded in winning the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiah Solo creative competition in 2022 for two categories, namely, cover theme song for the congress and Qur’an reciting.
The committee announced the winner of the congress creative competition during the congress. The event occurred Friday evening (18/11) at the Muhammadiyah University Edutorium building in Solo. The UMSU group, consisting of 150 people, received the announcement of the winner with great joy. They had come to Solo to celebrate the Muhammadiyah and Aisyiah congress.
“Thank God for the students who took part in the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiah creative competition in Solo,” said the Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, who interrupted after the conference activities. The Rector was accompanied by Vice Rector I, Prof.Dr. Muhammad Arifin, MHum, Vice Rector II, Prof.Dr. Akrim, MPd, Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, MSi and members of the congress group from UMSU.
The Rector expressed his appreciation and congratulations to the competition winners, namely UMSU Band personnel, Lioni Kurnia Sari, and the Public Relations and Protocol creative team.
According to the Rector, the achievements achieved result from joint creative work that needs to be maintained to produce the best work. Therefore, collaboration and togetherness that exists is the key to achieving and maintaining achievements.
The Rector also reminded students not to be quickly satisfied with their achievements. Instead, it is necessary to continue practicing and honing creativity to produce the best works.
He explained that UMSU provides ample opportunities for all students to develop themselves and be creative. Students are continuously encouraged to practice and participate in competitions to develop themselves and achieve the highest possible achievements.
Previously, still, in the atmosphere of the UMSU conference, it achieved superior accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education. The good news during the celebration of the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Aisyiah in Solo adds to the proud record of achievement in the field of higher education for Muhammadiyah. Because currently, 6 PTMAs have won Superior accreditation, including UMY, UAD, UMM, UMS, and UHAMKA. Nationally, there are only 45 state and private universities that are superior, even though there are more than 4,500 universities in Indonesia.
