On Saturday (28/10), Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara was awarded the PKM Award 2023 at Gunadarma University Hall, Depok.
At the event, UMSU was recognized for its outstanding achievements with the Most Incentive category award and the Best Accompanying Lecturer certificate. The Head of LLDIKTI Region III DKI Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Toni Toharuddin, S.Si., M.Sc., along with the Chairperson of the PKM Award 2023, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ronny Rachman Noor, M.Rur.Sc., presented the award certificate to UMSU. This recognition is a testament to UMSU’s hard work and dedication to excellence.
The certificate was received directly by the UMSU’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, MSi, and Dr. Edi Suprayetno, S.Pd., M.Pd as the best accompanying lecturer.
The Head of LLDIKTI Region III DKI Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Toni Toharuddin, SSI, M.Sc, congratulated UMSU and UMSU Lecturer Dr. Edy Suprayetno, S.Pd., M.Pd on the PKM Award 2023 event.
“Congratulations to UMSU for winning two awards,” he said while hoping that UMSU’s achievements would continue to be improved.”
Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, admitted that he was proud of his achievements because the PKM Award 2023 was a prestigious event attended by all universities in Indonesia, both public and private. What has been achieved proves that UMSU is equal to the best campuses in Indonesia. 
He emphasized that receiving awards could serve as a great inspiration for other students. He also suggested that it’s important to maintain a growth mindset and not settle for what has already been accomplished.
Dr. Edy Suprayetno, S.Pd., M.Pd, an exceptional lecturer accompanying PKM 2023, expressed his gratitude towards the UMSU Rector for their continuous support towards younger students. He believes that this kind of support is a great encouragement for the students to continue striving towards their goals. Additionally, he expressed his appreciation towards KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK for acknowledging the students’ hard work and efforts. Dr. Edy urged younger students to keep their spirits high, reminding them that this is only the beginning of their journey toward achieving their goals. He also reminded everyone to express gratitude towards SRCC UMSU for their relentless efforts in accompanying younger students in PKM activities from upstream to downstream.
In Cluster II, UMSU, USU, and UPI received the most incentive awards.
