A total of 2 students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UMSU successfully passed the 2024 Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) Awardee at the National Kaohsiung Normal University.
Accompanying their departure, UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by WR III UMSU Dr. Rudianto, M.Si, conducted a release which was held on Monday (19/2) at the UMSU VIP Room on Muchtar Basri Street No.3 Medan.
The FISIP students are Dimas Hawari and Raisa Ariani, majoring in Communication Science in semester 4. Both will leave for Taiwan on February 22 and conduct an exchange for four months.
In his speech, WR III Dr. Rudianto expressed his appreciation and pride to the two students and parents who attended. He said this is not the first time UMSU students have passed the TEEP program; it is already the second time.
“This is a valuable experience for all of us; the Internationalization programs that we have established are one of them with Taiwan,” said Dr. Rudianto.
According to him, Taiwan is one of the countries in Asia with the best education system, so many of Asia’s best campuses are in Taiwan. So, UMSU students, the only representatives in North Sumatra, should be grateful.
“Look for professors or anyone who can be approached. Gain as much knowledge as possible. Your friends can be offered a master’s degree opportunity in Taiwan,” said WR III.
Gratitude and emotion were also conveyed by Sulaiman Raisa’s father, “Thank you very much so that what my child has achieved is inseparable from the guidance of the mentors at UMSU. For our children who will leave, don’t forget to support and communicate with each other while there, “said Sulaiman emotionally.
Then Dimas Hawari, when allowed to convey a message of impression, was very grateful to the faculty and university who supported students participating in the International program.
“Alhamdulillah, starting from registration to now passing, the program runs very smoothly accompanied by PIC, which helps us,” Dimas said.
Likewise, Raisa, as a UMSU student, feels that whatever positive activities are carried out are fully supported by the campus, starting from direction and support.
“Thank you very much for the encouragement from all parties on campus; we ask for prayers and blessings to run the program smoothly and be able to return to sharing knowledge,” said Raisa.
Also present were the Dean of FISIP UMSU, Dr. Arifin Saleh, MSP, Head and Secretary of the Study Program, Head of the Student Affairs Bureau, UMSU Staff International Graduates, Students, and Parents.
