Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) released 423 FKIP students who will carry out the Introduction to School Field (PLP) and 10 International KKN students in Thailand. The release was held on Saturday (11/2) in the courtyard of UMSU, Muchtar Basri Street No.3 Medan City.
Based on a report from the Dean of FKIP UMSU Dra. Hj Syamsuyurnita, M.Pd said that 423 students carried out PLP in 17 high schools and 24 elementary schools for 2 weeks starting from February 13-25, 2023. Meanwhile, 10 FKIP UMSU students carried out International KKN in Thailand for one month.
PLP Jati Diri aims to provide a forum for FETT students to observe the environment and the teaching and learning process in schools. So it is hoped that students can carry it out maximally to be stated in the PLP report.
UMSU Vice Chancellor 1, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin Gultom, M.Hum, gave a message to PLP and KKN International students to carry out their activities as well as possible.
“Congratulations to our children who carry out PLP; hopefully, it will run as well as possible. Show a disciplined attitude, and be a student who is on time. To our children who will take part in the International KKN, keep the good name of yourself and the University. Adjust to the conditions in other countries and maintain good communication,” Prof. Arifin said.
Arifin also reminded KKN International students to pay attention to the surrounding culture and culture, especially in other countries with different behaviors, values and cultures. The Deans of FKIP UMSU and LKUI to PLP Assistance Lecturers also attended this release.
