The Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, holds a general lecture to improve and develop the quality of study programs. It was held directly at the UMSU FKIP Hall – Jl. Kapten Muchtar Basri No.3 – Kota Medan, Wednesday (26/1).
When opening the public lecture, Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arif Gultom, M.Hum congratulated the Faculty of Islamic Religion UMSU. The won the best Islamic Religion Faculty award in the Kopertis 9 region from the Coordinator of Islamic Higher Education in the North Sumatra region.
“Quality development is not only seen from human resources but from all teaching and learning processes, including the curriculum. Therefore, alhamdulillah, today we are grateful for the arrival of Mrs. Zidal, who wants to share knowledge to improve the quality and development of study programs in the future, “said Prof. Arifin.
To maintain and develop the achievements that have been obtained, the Dean of The Faculty of Islamic Religion UMSU Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qorib, MA. Presenting the Head of Study Program Development at the Directorate of Islamic Religious Higher Education, Zidal Huda, S.Ag, MH as a speaker. He hopes that this public lecture can build an active dialogue and get enlightenment about good governance for the Faculty of Islamic Religion study program.
The Faculty of Islamic Religion UMSU Towards International Accreditation In the discussion session led by the Head of the Islamic Education Study Program, Dr. Rizka Harfiani, S.PdI., M.Pd, Zidal Huda said that accreditation is a parameter of the quality of a university to a study program, “The era of distribution demands more qualified universities so accreditation is very important. “If you want to apply for international accreditation, what you will see is the profile of the graduates and judged on the outcome,” said Zidal.
Zidal Huda analogizes Higher Education as a factory that produces a product, namely undergraduate graduates. If the university wants to get international accreditation, how the graduates produced can respond to the market nationally or internationally will be seen. For example, in India, the quality of universities and graduates already have a good quality of education equivalent to internationally accredited universities.
