Head of BK Study Program at FKIP UMSU Conducts Differentiation Training at Indonesian School Davao City, Philippines
Head of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (BK FKIP UMSU), M. Fauzi Hasibuan, M.Pd held differentiated learning training for teachers at the Indonesian School Davao Philippines. This training is for the International PKM program, Friday (29/9).
The training aims to help and strengthen the competence of every Indonesian school teacher in the Philippines. Differentiation is an essential step for teachers to serve and recognize the characteristics of students. So that teachers can prepare their teaching tools according to the needs of their students.
“Differentiated learning has an important role in ensuring that every learner gets a learning experience, according to their needs, thus encouraging their progress optimally,” she explained.
Each participant was allowed to share experiences, exchange ideas, and plan the implementation of differentiated learning in their respective classrooms. Then, they were involved in writing the output as an article.
The Principal of Indonesian School Davao City, Daulat Siregar, M.Pd., M.Si, welcomed the international training and expressed thousands of thanks to FKIP UMSU.
“We are greatly helped by the training given to teachers, according to the needs of teachers in differentiated learning, because we are implementing an independent curriculum,” said Daulat.
The Principal of Indonesia Davao City hopes that FKIP UMSU can assist teachers on an ongoing basis and help improve the quality of learning at school.
