Motivate Yourself To Learn
Motivation is a person’s impulse to achieve a goal. Student motivation is essential in achieving student achievement. Motivation is also the force that drives and guides successful actions that remain focused on a specific goal.
Motivation can come from inside and outside. Motivation from within is called intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation includes the desire and desire to succeed, the drive for the need to learn, and the expectations of students’ aspirations.
While motivation from outside is called extrinsic motivation, examples include the existence of awards, a conducive learning environment, exciting learning activities, and the efforts of teachers in teaching students.
Motivation plays a strategic role in student learning activities. Thus motivation plays a significant role in the development of student behavior.
The definition of learning motivation, according to some experts, is quoted from various sources:
Ngalim Purwanto (2006: 70–71) argues that each motive is closely related to a goal and aspiration. The more valuable the goal is for the person concerned, the stronger the motive so that the motive is instrumental for one’s actions or actions.
According to Thursan Hakim (2000), quoted by Winastwan Gora and Sunarto (2010: 16), learning is a process of change in human beings, shown in the form of increasing the quality and quantity of behavior such as increasing skills, knowledge, attitudes, habits, understanding, skills, thinking and others.
Dimyati 10 Mahmud (1989: 121-122) states that learning is a behavior change, both observable and not directly observable, and occurs in a person because of experience.

- Students pay less attention when the teacher explains
- Students are motivated to learn only at the beginning of the lesson (2 subjects)
- But after leaving the break, the motivation to study is reduced
- Teachers must be more creative when teaching, so students feel bored and bored.

- Unprofessional teacher
However, you do not need to worry here, and I will recommend efforts that you can make to increase student motivation.
As for efforts and things that you should pay attention to and do to increase student motivation, such as:
- Maximizing learning facilities and infrastructure.
- Recruit teaching staff who are professional and competent in their fields.
- School management must be accountable and professional and involve all stakeholders.
