Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, K.H Sa’ad, in his speech, gave his appreciation for the preparations made by North Sumatra, especially UMSU, which was appointed as the organizer and host of the 49th Muhammadiyah 2027 Congress. Coordination and plans for the construction of the building where the North Sumatra Congress will be held are enough to give a picture of North Sumatra as the host of the Congress.
According to him, North Sumatra is the most dynamic Muhammadiyah area in the Sumatra region.
“The presentation delivered by Prof. Agussani earlier is about the picture of Muhammadiyah in the future. Although it is still a picture, we are already happy. God willing, this will be a great university if it is in harmony,” he said when giving a short tausyiah.
He advised to maintain friendship and cohesiveness, especially since Western countries have seen the best Islamic education in Muhammadiyah, which combines the dimensions of religion and science.
The most important thing is also to maintain the heart to realize the expected things.
“If the soul is cool and calm, it will be a great contribution to our physique,” said K.H. Sa’ad.
Previously, UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, as Chairman of the Muhammadiyah 2027 Congress committee, also conveyed the progress of preparations ahead of the congress event. As Chairman of the Committee, his party continues to synergize with every Muhammadiyah leader in North Sumatra.
“This is a form of UMSU’s commitment to move forward together with the association. And the implementation of the Congress is a joint task,” said the Rector of UMSU.
Furthermore, Prof. Agussani said that after being reviewed, the tower for the Congress will be built on the Sampali land in Deli Serdang district, which will become Campus 4 of UMSU.
“Alhadmulillah, we have had an audience with the Deli Serdang Regency Government and are very welcome for this development. At the direction of the Central Leadership, we are working with UMY and UMS to study this development, “said Prof. Agussani.
He also showed the set plan design for the construction of campus 4, starting from the Auditorium with a capacity of 6000 people, Sports center, Mosque, Tower, and lecture building to Rusunawa. In addition to Campus 4, the Tower as a lecture facility will also be built on Campus 3 Muchtar Basri.
“Ahead of the Congress, the Auditorium and sports center will be built immediately. God willing, construction will begin in August,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the North Sumatra PWM, Prof. Dr. H. Hasyimsyah Nasution, MA, said that his party continued to build togetherness, integrity and strength of every Muhammadiyah cadre ahead of the Congress.
“PP Muhammadiyah’s consideration of making North Sumatra the location of the Congress is very appropriate. So if it can’t be better, at least we provide something that is not worse. Hopefully, this planning can go well,” he hoped.
Also present at the gathering were UMSU Postgraduate Leaders, Faculty Leaders throughout UMSU, PDM / PDA throughout North Sumatra, Muhammadiyah College Leaders in North Suamtera, and Muhammadiyah Ortom.
