The North Sumatra Muhammadiyah General Hospital has succeeded in obtaining the predicate of plenary accreditation with the five-star standard of the Ministry of Health.
“Alhamdulillah, North Sumatra Muhammadiyah Hospital has won accreditation at the plenary level with the five-star Ministry of Health standards,” said the Rector of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, to journalists in Medan, Thursday (30/3).
Accompanying him, Vice Rector I, Prof.Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M. Hum, Vice Rector II, Prof. Dr. Akrim, M. Pd, Vice Rector III, Dr. Rudianto, MSc. From the hospital, the Director, dr. Mohammad Riza, M.Kes, Head of Finance and HR, Ibrahim Nainggolan, SH, MHum.
He explained that the achievement of accreditation at the plenary level was the result of joint hard work and solid cooperation between the leadership, health workers, and staff of the hospital, and UMSU employees as the one who was given the mandate, as well as Muhammadiyah residents and administrators. “This is a joint achievement that we should be grateful for,” he said.
He explained that UMSU was given responsibility as hospital manager on August 4, 2018, by the Muhammadiyah Central Executive. Since then, assistance and arrangement of the hospital have been carried out from the physical and service side.
Furthermore, achieving accreditation at the plenary level with five stars is a separate motivation to continue improving the quality of health services. As part of the Muhammadiyah charity business, North Sumatra Muhammadiyah Hospital is expected to encourage an increase in public health status.
“We certainly should not be satisfied with the achievements achieved. On the contrary, the plenary accreditation recognition will be an encouragement to further improve the performance of hospital services in the future,” said Agussani.
