On Friday (9-11/8), UMSU Contributed to the North Sumatra Literacy Festival held by the Library and Archives Service of North Sumatra Province on Jalan Brigjen Katamso Medan.
In this activity, UMSU Press took part in a literacy exhibition to display 100 book titles of 300 copies. Muhammad Arifin, M.Pd, the Head of UMSU Press, has arranged door prizes for individuals who express interest in the UMSU book collection and the book exhibition.
“Alhamdulillah, UMSU can be involved in this North Sumatra Literacy Festival, especially since activities like this have been sorely missed because people can buy books directly, get lots of affordable discounts, and quality books from various publishers present at this event,” said Arifin.
In addition to being a book exhibition, he emphasized that it was also a chance to showcase UMSU as a top-notch campus with excellent accreditation to the attendees and the general public.
This activity was also attended by the Head of the North Sumatra Province Library and Archives Service, Dwi Endah Purwanti, S.S., M.Sc, Member of Commission E of the North Sumatra DPRD H. Hendra Cipta, S.E., and the Governor of North Sumatra represented by the Assistant for the Economy, Dr. Agus Tripriono.
