UMSU Lecturer Dr. Ida Hanifah Receives Professor Decree from LLDikti North Sumatra
Secretary of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara Law Doctoral Study Program, Dr. Hj. Ida Hanifah, S.H., M.H. officially received a Decree (S.K.) for a professor in the field of Labor Law.
The decree was handed over directly by the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region 1, Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D., Friday (15/9) at LLDikti Region 1 Jl. Sempurna No.8, Medan.
The decision letter from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia read by the Head of Personnel Law and Administration Abdul Aziz Tambunan, S.H., M.H., stipulated that since August 1, 2023, Dr. Hj Ida Hanifah, S.H., M.H. was promoted to professor or professor in the field of Labor Law with a credit score of 910.50.
The decree was handed over to UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, represented by Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arifin, M.Hum, and then to Prof. Ida Hanifah. Prof. Ida and two other UISU lecturers were also present to receive the Professor’s Decree.
On this occasion, the Head of LLDikti Region 1, Prof. Saiful, said that becoming a professor is not easy, either before becoming a professor or after getting it.
“There are responsibilities that must be carried out properly, by their assignments and according to their fields to conduct research, scientific publications, books, and community service,” said the Head of LLDikti.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector I UMSU, Prof. Arifin, said that receiving this decree increased the number of professors and was an extraordinary achievement for UMSU. He also reminded that when becoming a professor, finding publications that are not fake and can be sustainable is necessary.
“We expect lecturers from UMSU always to have something to write about, and I think UMSU already has a non-negotiable commitment towards common goals. In the future, the challenges will be more significant; of course, we must fill it with reliable human resources to achieve success, “said Prof. Arifin.
Meanwhile, after receiving the decree on the appointment of professors, Prof. Ida Hanifah said she was very grateful and proud to reach this point.
“I have been waiting for this for about 2.5 years with various twists and turns. I am touched. This is the highest degree in the academic field. A weighty responsibility. This decree will not be achieved without the support of other parties,” said Prof. Ida.
She also thanked LLDikti and UMSU for supporting and encouraging her to become a professor, especially her late parents and late husband, who have supported and motivated her.
Also present were BPH UMSU Drs. Mutholib, M.M, Dean of the Faculty of Law UMSU Dr. Faisal, SH., M.Hum, and vice deans and lecturers.
