Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU) welcomed the visit of Telkom General Management Division of Enterprise Service (DES) Education & Management Services (EMS) Segment and the team. This visit is in the context of friendship and collaboration in the field of digital education, Thursday (20/1), in the UMSU’s VIP room – Jl. Muchtar Basri No.3, Medan City.
Present UMSU Rector Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP and their staff, Head of the UMSU Bureau, UMSU Information Systems and Technology Team, UMSU Account Manager Budi Juliansyah, Telkom GM Briliyan Farid Fatoni, Tribe Leader Education Djufri Ardian, Synergy Project Leader and Fu Ambarukmi Dewi Sriwarni, Des Education Support Manager Management Services Kristin Theresia Sianturi and Product Manager Dbt Indira Alifa Salsabila.
The collaboration between UMSU and Telkom started in 2011 when UMSU was on the main campus in the statue building and still uses cable services. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, UMSU and Telkom have collaborated in meeting the needs of internet rental services, IDREN services, and Training Packages for CSR. The increasing demand for internet and digital services requires increased collaboration between UMSU and Telkom.
In addition, UMSU and Telkom have collaborated on the Independent Learning, Independent Campus program, and internship program, which is currently running. However, I think it needs to be improved, Mr. GM,” said the UMSU’s Rector. He also introduced the progress of the University during the pandemic to provide an overview of the role of internet services in fulfilling the learning process.
Meanwhile, General Manager Telkom Briliyan Farid Fatoni is open to further collaboration with UMSU, “Our Rector from Telkom with a complete team of the Enterprise Service (Des) Division of the Education & Management Services (Ems) segment, God willing, is ready to collaborate with UMSU. We thank you for the cooperation that has been going on so far. Hopefully, we can collaborate even better,” said GM Telkom.
This visit was followed by a discussion session between the Telkom team and the UMSU IT team. Discussing educational opportunities that can be collaborated to build a digitalization education platform which ends with a group photo session.
