UMSU, with the Muhammadiyah Special Da’wah Institute (LDK) to strengthen da’wah in the 3T (Tertinggal, Terdepan, Terpencil) regions, held a national seminar and book review ‘The Arrow of the Enlightenment: Da’wah Spreads to 3T Regions’. Held live, Tuesday (31/5) at the UMSU Auditorium – Jl. Kapten Muchtar Basri, No. 3 Medan.
Anak Panah Sang Pencerah: Da’wah Spreads to the 3T Region is a collection of stories of preachers who preach in the 3T regions. Written directly by the Head of LDK PP Muhammadiyah Drs. H. Muhammad Ziyad, MA with Muhammadiyah Da’i. The challenges and obstacles that must be faced by the Dais are interesting to be immortalized in writing.
Concerning the book, Muhammadiyah chairman, Prof. Dr. Syafiq A Mughni, MA, in his preface, emphasize all Muhammadiyah activities must have a da’wah spirit, and the purpose of da’wah must be in all business and Muhammadiyah charitable activities. One of them was through a review of books written by the Da’i.
“All activities, including activities on campus, must contain the da’wah dimension in all their activities, as well as all, carry the mission of the vision of Muhammadiyah as a da’wah movement,” said Prof. Shafiq.
Likewise, with the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership of North Sumatra, Prof. Dr. H. Hasyimsyah Nasution, invited to enlarge the light of the da’wah lamp, the existence of Islam today is still there and recognized.
In response to this, the Chancellor of UMSU, Prof. Dr. Agussani, MAP, is committed to supporting LDK Muhammadiyah da’wah programs in the 3T area. “We certainly continue to support this 3T program to continue to be implemented following the programs we run. So what can we do about the role of synergy between UMSU and the union, especially in the 3T area in providing assistance, assistance, delivery, and so on,” said Prof. Agussani
On that occasion, Prof. Agussani also conveyed that UMSU’s programs continue to show progress. In particular, the receipt of the permit for the establishment of the UMSU Biomedical study program from LLDIKTI Region 1 North Sumatra. “To get this study program need hard work in case the 6 Faculties of Medicine in North Sumatera are infrequent of Biomedical programs,” explained Prof. Agussani.
Meanwhile, the Head of LDK PP Muhammadiyah Drs. H. Muhammad Ziyad, MA, told a little about the contents of the dissected book, such as in Central Kalimantan, Kapuas Regency, there were 400 converts and this year carried out the first Ramadan, fasted and performed tarawih.
In fact, LDK Muhammadiyah sent preachers to the district, which took 16 hours by land and water. Unlike in West Papua, a nomadic community thrives because it was fostered by Sorong Muhammadiyah University. According to Prof. Ziyad, da’wah is not only lecturing, but there are three ways of preaching: lectures, writing, and marriage.
“Da’wah in remote areas must be encouraged, so from there, Muhannadiyah’s charities grow and develop,” said Prof. Ziyad.
The book review was followed by a national seminar by the Dean of FAI UMSU Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qorib, MA as the speaker with the theme ‘Muhammadiyah Da’wah and Harmonization of the Nation’s Children, by LDK PP Muhammadiyah Dr. Suhardin, M.Pd with the theme ‘New Strategy Community Da’wah Penetrating the Wilderness of Da’wah’ and by the Secretary of the MUI City of Medan, Drs.
